When the two clubs met in round three, Mustangs first, reserve and U18.5s came away with victories while their Ladies League Tag side suffered a narrow 10-6 loss.
The first grade side cruised to victory, winning 41-22 but captain-coach Dennis Ritchie is expecting the Pirates to put up more of a fight at home.
“It is always harder to earn the victory on the road,” Ritchie said.
“Sides play better in front of their fans and they don’t like to disappoint anyone.”
Ritchie was still confident is side would come away with the competition points.
“We have been building each game and we have found a way to win the tight games this season,” he said.
First grade kicks off on Saturday at 3.15pm.
