The Association will be well represented having teams competing in the 12, 13, 14 and 15 years divisions being held at the Campbelltown Netball Association.
The teams have been training hard and attending carnivals since February in preparation for the State champs. There are a lot of talented junior players within the Macleay association and they will all no doubt handle the three gruelling days of netball ahead of them. Each team will play in excess of 7 games a day and 22 games in total over the weekend up against the best teams in the state. It’s a big task for young girls but they have each other, their coaches and supporters to get them through the weekend and hopefully injury free as well.
All coaches are happy with their team’s preparations and have the ultimate goal of a top 10 position for their team come the end of the three days, which is definitely achievable if they all stick to their game plans and listen to the knowledge and experience of their coaches throughout the weekend.
The Macleay association has been sending junior teams down to the State Age Championships for many years now and are always proud of the efforts each team produces and wish them all every success. The Association would like to thank all of the players, coaches, managers, umpires, officials, parents and supporters who all make the trip down and represent the Macleay Valley.
The regular Saturday netball competitions will break for the next two weeks.
