Kempsey Race Club president John Graham is hoping for a great day.
“We are still planning to go ahead despite the rain during the week,” Graham said.
“Each race has produced strong fields so it should be a terrific day of racing.
“The track is still in great condition and it will make for an even field of racing throughout the day.”
There is free entry on the day with the first race commencing at 12.10pm
There will be full TAB services, bookmakers and alcohol available.
“There aren’t many things you can do for free anymore so if you're not busy on Friday then you should come to the track to enjoy a free event,” Graham said.
The Kempsey Cup will be held on November 3 this year.
Gates open at 11.30am.
