Firefighters from Kempsey Fire and Rescue were called shortly after 1am and arrived to find the West End Road property fully ablaze.
Three firetrucks attended and were hindered by the lack of a water source on the semi-rural property, taking up positions outside the house and using compressed aerated foam to fight fire.
Two Rural Fire Service units also attended and helped Fire and Rescue source water, with the fire brought under control quickly.
Police, ambulance and Essential Energy services also attended.
No occupants in the house were injured in the fire.
