Written by Ian Taylor, the musical chronicles the famous duo’s often tempestuous professional relationship.
The pair collaborated for 14 comic operas, and excerpts from many of these appear in the play, including ‘The Mikado’, ‘Pirates of Penzance’, and more.
Greg Taylor will direct and the Macleay Choral Society, under the expert tutelage of Christine Wells, will act as the chorus.
Performance dates are August 18,19, 20, 25, 26 and 27. Show times are 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights, and 2pm for the Sunday presentations.
Bandbox Theatre Upgrades
Following a successful grant application, work to renovate the kitchen area of the Bandbox Theatre is commencing.
This work will improve access to the kitchen for disabled patrons and update the serving area.
Further grant applications are also being made as part of Kempsey Singers' vision to upgrade the facilities of the Bandbox Theatre for patrons, including a renovation of the toilet block and addition of disabled toilet facilities, plus improved access to the front foyer for disabled patrons.
