Members and visitors at the Kempsey Golf Club last Saturday were greeted with a beautiful day winter's day for golf and on a course which has dry out very well from the recent rain.

It was another great event held at the Kempsey Golf Club and we welcomed visitors from South West Rocks, Frederickton and Crescent Head Golf Club’s in the field.
The event on the was the 2017 Kempsey Macleay RSL Club 18 hole single Stableford event which attracted 58 players on the day.
A special big thank you goes to the RSL for there continued support of golf at the club over a number of years.
On the day it was a family affair of winners in each grade on the day and congratulations goes to those family members who earned the victories on the course last Saturday.
Firstly in the top grade the winner with a score of 38 points was Graeme Dyet who returned to form on the day with a good putting round (if I do say so myself).
Then in the 'B' grade it was his son in law Zachary Pritchard who was the winner with his round of 41 points and not to be out done in the 'C' grade it was Deniece Dyet (yes Graeme's better half) who claimed the victory with her round of 36 points.
A good day was had by all and everyone enjoyed the course with many a good score on the day.
The runner up in the top grade was Mike Brady with 37 points on a countback and in the 'B' grade it was Caleb Holtman with a score of 38 and the runner up in the 'C' Grade was Roger McAlister with a score of 35.
The winners of the ntp's at the 3rd hole were Allen MacDonald 'A', Ray Campbell 'B', Roger McAlister 'C'. At the 8th hole the winners were Ross Leopold 'A', Zachary Pritchard 'B', Kevin Miller 'C'.
The winners of the nearest to the pin's at the K&J Meats 11th hole were awarded to Paul Brose 'A', John Daley 'B', Neville Thornton 'C', Deniece Dyet 'L'.
The winners of the Cellarbrations 16th hole were Glenn Tuckwell 'A', Deniece Dyet 'L'
Tomorrow at the club members and visitors will play in the 2017 Chalkies 18 hole 2 person Ambrose event with a 7 am start from the 1st tee.
All players can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round. On the scoreboard roster tomorrow will be the week 3 team of Tony May, Glen Coughran & Trevor Hannam.
