It will be held on Saturday July 29 at the Smithtown Bowling club from 5.30pm.
There will be a feast cooked up by popular local Smithtown chef, Roo McKiernan for all to enjoy including spit roasts meats and sausages for the kids. There will be a DJ pumping out the tunes into the night and a chance for everyone to catch up and celebrate local junior rugby league in Smithtown.
The club would also like to invite its life members and all of the clubs past players, officials, committee members and supporters to join them for the night.
There is a lot of history at the Smithtown club when it comes to junior rugby league over the years and this night is to acknowledge and thank all those that have been a part of the success all these years.
Next year will be the clubs 40th anniversary and this night will be one of the first of many I’m sure that will be held next year to celebrate the milestone for the junior club.
The life member inductee will also be presented on the night and it is a very worthy recipient.
There are only 5 other life members for the club so it is a huge honour and well deserved award for this member who has contributed and been a part of the club over many years as a player and official.
The club asked that all those past players, committee, officials and supporters who would like to attend please contact the secretary Michael Banks via the clubs email Smithtownjrlfc@hotmail.com.au or via phone on 0412784427.
For all of the current players and their families, please contact your coaches to let them know if you will be attending and how many of your family will be also. We need everyone to rsvp as soon as possible for catering purposes.
Hope to see a lot of past and present Smithtown Tigers down at the Smithtown Bowling Club on Saturday July 29 from 5.30pm. Don’t forget to RSVP asap.
Cost for dinner is just a gold coin donation per person.
