In the first week the Japanese hosts entertained with visits to museums, a jelly fish aquarium, wetlands, a traditional music show, historic village, an ikebana demonstration, and wonderful views of mountain and sea.
The Kemspey crew also experienced meditation Buddhist style and enjoyed a range of cuisines.
A highlight was a visit to an elementary school which included a hot lunch served by students and observing the students cleaning the school, including wiping the floors with wet rags - and the sight of cherry trees in full bloom.
The second week was pleasurably spent learning about the culture, history and language of South Korea with Seoul Friendship Force. Places visited included the Demilitarised Zone and 3rd Tunnel on the Peace Train, palaces, changing of the guard, museums, a drumming concert, and the War Memorial.
The farewell dinner was made especially memorable with all the Seoul ladies dressed in traditional costume.
It was an interesting and happy time; new friends were made in both countries.
