At the Kempsey Golf club last Saturday the 2107 Dick Hillard Memorial Golf Day was held with the Kempsey Golf Club's Veteran's boss Allan MacDonald the major sponsor of the day. The 18 hole single Stableford event saw a good number of players hit off and with visitors from SWR, Nambucca Heads, Crescent Head and Frederickton the day was well supported at the presentation time.

To Allan again a very big thank you from everyone at the club for your support of the day and let's hope the day continues to grow to honour Dick who was a great man at the club and loved his game of golf with all his mates.
Taking out the prize for the best score on the day and the 'A' grade was Conrad Tamblyn with his good round of 41 points while Ben Brose was the runner up in 'A' grade with 39. In the 'B' on Saturday the winner was Wayne ( birdseed ) Simmons with a score of 40 points from the Runner up Peter Callaghan. Continuing the good scores on the day was the 'C' grade winner Brendan Ashe with a round of 40 points on countback from Nancy McNamara who was the runner up on the day in the 'C' grade.
The winners of the ntp's at the Macleay Valley Vet Services 3rd hole were Phil Starr 'A', Wayne Binnie 'B', Kevin Miller 'C'. At the club sponsored 8th hole the winners were Mark Morrison 'A', John Baker 'C'. The winners on the day at the K&J Meats 11th hole were Tamblyn 'A', Robert Anderson 'B', Ashe 'C', Jennie Preston 'L'. The winners of the ntp's at the Cellarbrations 16th hole were Tamblyn 'A', Peter Callaghan 'B', Michael Hinchcliffe 'C' & Cheryle Cashman 'L'.
The winners of the Balls in the weekly ball competition were players with a score of 34 points and they can be collected from the pro shop at any time just Mike or any other staff member.
With tomorrow being the last Saturday of the month July the 2017 Peter Hatton Open 18 hole Medley 4bbb Stableford and Individual event will be held at the club with a 7am start from the 1st tee. All players can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round and remember to play your round without delay so all players can finish there rounds before night fall. Again all players are asked to limit your time at the halfway mark of your round. On the scoreboard roster tomorrow will be the week 5 team. If anyone wants to help out on the scoreboard roster tomorrow please don't be hesitant in coming forward to help, saw see Club Captain Ross if you can help.
The 2017 John Daley 4BBB KO competition has reached the semifinals with 4 teams lining up for the semis. In Semi Final one Peter Hatton & Murray Addison will take on the young guns Bradley Dyet and Zachary Pritchard while in the semifinal 2 it will be the veteran pair of Paul McNamara and Chris Hudson up against the pairing of Bryn Davies and Graeme Dyet.
