The side is hoping to build upon their victory last week against the Forster-Tuncurry Hawks and gain momentum heading into the finals series.
Macleay Valley will field a side close to full strength on Saturday with captain Anthony Cowan explaining they will rest his halves partner Malcolm Webster who had an injury scare last week.
“Malcolm would be right to go but we will rest him and not take any chances a week out from the finals,” Cowan said.
Jeremy Taylor will move from fullback into the halves with Dave Davis wearing the number one jersey.
“We have worked hard on correcting our defence at training this week,” Cowan said.
“Allowing 30-points against the Hawks last week isn’t good enough to win finals games and hopefully we tighten that up against the Tigers.”
The Mustangs will host the winner of the Port Macquarie Sharks and Taree City Bulls match in the first weekend of the finals.
The Sharks and Bulls face off in the final round with the winning side to secure third position.
Saturday’s first grade game kicks off at 3.15pm at Verge Street Oval
