The incident was just one of a string of break-ins that took place in South West Rocks on Wednesday night.
The thieves unsuccessfully tried to jimmy the front door, before smashing through the tempered glass and making off with $150 from the cash register.
Four vehicles on the premises belonging to customers were also broken into.
The culprits appear to have been seeking cash only as they left a number of valuable items that were in each of the cars and the owner’s office, including $10,000 worth of tyres, $2500 worth of batteries and a $15,000 tool, two computers and a television.
The police were at the scene on Thursday taking fingerprints and statements, and the investigation continues.
Owner of Tyrepower Terese Wilton is looking forward to justice being served.
“I thought I was over this crap when we left Kempsey,” Mrs Wilton said.
“We used to get broken into a lot when we were in South Kempsey.
“It means that I’m going to have to increase security.
“It also means that our little village is changing.
“Somebody lives on the site, but unfortunately he wasn’t there.
“It’s an inconvenience for the four customers whose cars were broken into.
“They were only after cash, luckily they didn’t get much.
“We are a family business and we have great staff.
“We all feel violated and devastated.
“These people need to go get a job.”
