That’s because the South West Roxy Cinema is holding its first annual Mystery Movie event and has been teasing its patrons for weeks about what it could be.
Clues already given out include “Australian Royalty”, “red and blue balloons”, “it’s not time yet” and “she’s my baby and she wears my ring”.
Owner Andrew Mercado says the clues are meant to be difficult and some residents have already figured it out.
“If you figure out the first clue, and know your movie history, the rest should fall into place,” he said.
Mr Mercado says the event will be a unique afternoon of fun, which will also feature two Kempsey councillors.
“They are going to re-create a major historical event from the era,” he said.
“Everyone in the audience is being encouraged to wear something from the 60s, whether that be a kaftan, headband or a tie dye T shirt.
“Some blokes in town have told me that won’t be difficult, because their wardrobe hasn’t changed much in the last 50 years!”.
Doors will open at 2pm and the Mystery Movie will kick off at at 2.30pm this Sunday August 20 at the South West Roxy Cinema.
