Quinlan believes his improved mindset and preparation will ensure the fight won’t last long.
“It won’t go more than four rounds,” Quinlan told the Argus.
“I didn’t even ask how many rounds the fight was before signing up because I know it won’t last long.
“I might even knock him out in the first round - I will bring the beast out.”
Bajawa has an edge in experience with a 41-4-4 record over his 17 years as a professional fighter but he lost his last two bouts.
Quinlan, who has proved he has a devastating left jab and right hook, has 11 wins with seven knockouts from his 13 professional fights.
The Dunghutti Destroyer will train in Kempsey’s Hudson’s Gym before heading to Sydney in a weeks time for final preparations at The Grange High Performance.
He will drop from super middleweight to middleweight for the bout and believes dropping the extra three and a half kilograms will help keep him focused.
“It will make me work harder, I made the weight for super middleweight easily. Now, I will have follow a strict diet which will put me in better shape,” Quinlan said.
Quinlan signed on with Ringstar Management last week and they wasted little time scheduling a bout.
“They recommended I drop to middleweight and there are prestigious fights available for me at the weight class,” Quinlan said.
“I was heading to Singapore for the fight night for my introduction anyway so when the opportunity came up for a fight, I took it.”
Quinlan is expecting to compete for a title in February 2018 and said discussions between his management and fighters are underway.
The 28-year-old thanked former trainer and lifelong friend George Ptolemy.
“George will always be my friend and I still welcome his advice,” Quinlan said.
“He was there for me from the beginning, when I was an amateur and in my corner when I knocked out Daniel Geale.
“I thank George for everything he has done for me.”
Quinlan’s last professional fight was in February, when he lost his IBO Super Middleweight world title to Chris Eubank Jnr in England.
Bajawa is scheduled to fight Pui Yu Lim for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental Light Heavyweight Title this Saturday, August 26.
