Visitors from Nambucca Heads, Frederickton, Crescent Head, Gloucester, Kew, Wauchope, South West Rocks, Camden Haven and Port Macquarie joined the local girls for the annual Kempsey Ladies Open Day, sponsored by Mavin Truck Centre last Friday.

One of our own, Cassie Black, came in with a nett of 42 to take out the best score over the field. Pam Bruce, another local, was the gross winner with 25 points.
Robin Taylor, also from Kempsey, was the Division 1 nett winner on a count back from Ann Couts , Port Macquarie.
Nearest the pin winners, sponsored by Kempsey Signs, were Noeline Hirst (Wauchope) and Jill Stringer (Kempsey). 2nd shot on the 16th went to Annette Jackson (Port Macquarie) Marie Wise (Crescent Head) and Gail Harrower (Frederickton).
Every great golf comp, has some fun involved, DGI Trading and Macleay Treated Timbers sponsored the target shot on the 6th green. Only big hitters were able to make the distance with the prizes going to Margaret Perkins (Port Macquarie) and Sue Thompson (Wauchope). The Kempsey Ladies sponsored the accuracy drive on the 15th hole which saw Francis Forman (Camden Haven), Barb Morley (Frederickton) and Wendy Rogan (Kempsey) take the honors.
