It was a nail-biting contest with the match going down to the wire.
It was a successful season for the Magpies, who started the year strong and won their opening six games.
Injuries began to derail the team as they fell down the ladder but with their players back on deck for the end of the season, they were able to build momentum heading into the finals series.
The Magpies were on the wrong end of two tight matches with the Tigers and there is plenty to build on for next season.
Lower Macleay reached the preliminary final of the Hastings League last year and the Magpies are hoping to get over the hump and go one step further in the 2018 season.
The Magpies entered this year’s finals series in third position and they were the third last team standing.
The Tigers face the Kendall Blues in Saturday’s decider.
