On Saturday, October 7, there will be a stall at the Riverside Markets, Kempsey, where local archers will display the various styles of bows and targets. Visitors can also discover the ancient craft of 'fletching' – making your own arrows.
Newcomers are also invited to come along to the Macleay Valley Archers' range in the Tamblan State Forest the following three Saturday afternoons for free hands-on coaching.
The past year has seen several 'personal bests' for the Club's seasoned archers with strong representation at the International Field Archery Association world titles in Wagga Wagga as well as other local and regional tournaments.
Later in September the Macleay Valley Archers will take part in the Australian Bowhunters' Association state titles at Taree.
