Over the past two months, council workers have done a fantastic job upgrading the streetscape and all involved deserve to be commended on the quality of the work and the efficient manner in which they attacked their various tasks.
Residents and businesses will benefit from additional parking spaces, improved pedestrian access and a more attractive street.
Work finished so far includes upgrades to kerbs and guttering, footpaths and the road pavement.
When finished there will also be eight extra parking spaces, created by converting kerbside parking from angle to parallel and adding centre parking, in line with the eastern end of Elbow Street.
A number of trees will be planted to finish off the beautification of the streetscape.
Drivers are reminded to expect minor delays until these works are concluded.
