Revitalisation works from the intersection of Elbow and Tozer Streets in West Kempsey are well underway.

Over the past two months, council workers have done a fantastic job upgrading the streetscape and all involved deserve to be commended on the quality of the work and the efficient manner in which they attacked their various tasks.

Residents and businesses will benefit from additional parking spaces, improved pedestrian access and a more attractive street.

OPEN FOR USE SOON: The footpath at the front of the Argus' office on Elbow St will reopen soon.

Work finished so far includes upgrades to kerbs and guttering, footpaths and the road pavement.

When finished there will also be eight extra parking spaces, created by converting kerbside parking from angle to parallel and adding centre parking, in line with the eastern end of Elbow Street.

A number of trees will be planted to finish off the beautification of the streetscape.

Drivers are reminded to expect minor delays until these works are concluded.

ON THE RIGHT PATH: The exposed decorative concrete footpath on Elbow St has improved the aesthetics of the area.
