The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting partly cloudy conditions and a maximum temperature of 24 degrees for the Mid North Coast on Friday, October 13.

There is a medium (50 per cent) chance of showers in the north and a slight (20 per cent) chance elsewhere, with the possibility of a thunderstorm in the north this afternoon and evening.

Light winds will become east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the late afternoon then drop off to a light breeze in the evening.

The fire danger level is Low-Moderate.

It looks likely that it is going to be a wet weekend on the Mid North Coast with the extended forecast showing a 90 per cent chance of rain and possible afternoon thunderstorm for Saturday, October 14, and an 80 per cent chance of rain for Sunday, October 15 and Monday, October 16.

Unfortunately, the rain will not be substantial enough to offer any real relief to farmers, with four to 10mm expected on Saturday and only 3 to 5mm on Sunday, with the possibility of a further 4 to 6mm on Monday.

Weekend temperatures will reach maximums of 22 degrees, with lows of 14 degrees on Saturday, 13 degrees on Sunday and 12 degrees on Monday.
