The hotel has been nominated for ‘Best Steak Sandwich’, ‘Best Burger’, ‘Best Cheap Eat Meal Under $15’ with head chef Chris Ruthven also nominated for ‘Country Chef of the Year’ title.
The business will be up against some of the best establishments across the state when the winners are announced at a gala function at the Star in Sydney on Tuesday, 21 November. More than 600 nominations were received for the Awards for Excellence across 50 categories.
Pub owner Tim Smith said he was thrilled that the Hotel has been recognised along-side the best in the business.
“To be recognised for our fantastic meals in these categories is a massive achievement for a country pub from a small town. It is a team effort and without our hard-working staff we would not be here,” he said.
AHA NSW CEO John Whelan said the number of finalists from right across the state shows the strength of the industry in regional NSW.
“I would like to congratulate all finalists on their achievements and recognise the hard work that goes into running an award-winning venue,” he said.
