It has been predominantly influenced by north-easterly winds, placing pressure on North Shore and Port Macquarie.
Winds are expected to shift to the south at 4pm this afternoon which will send smoke northwards.
Residents are being advised to take the necessary precautions and to stay informed.
The latest information can be found on the Rural Fire Service website or the Fires near me app.
ABC local radio will also be broadcasting regular updates.
The blaze is currently on Advice level with fire crews from across the Mid North Coast in attendance.
