The festival – April 2 to 15 – offers opportunities for older people to participate in the arts through exhibitions, performances, film screenings, dance, workshops, discussion groups, networking and sharing of experiences and information.
There are more than 50 events across the region as well as another 30 from the special ‘Lets Dance’ feature which encourages seniors to put on their dancing shoes and have some fun regardless of whether they think they have two left feet or have not danced for a while. There is no doubt that dance benefits the body and the mind.
