Residents, staff and volunteers of Vincent Court joined with Facility Manager Debbie Fletcher, Parish Priest of Macleay Valley Parish Father James Foster and Sister Anne Hannigan, Pastoral Care Coordinator for Catholic Care of the Aged, for a service of blessing and the presentation of Long Service Awards.
Fr James said Vincent Court was the first aged care facility of its type in the Macleay when the parishioners of All Saints Catholic Parish established it more than 40 years ago.
“How wonderful for the Parishioners who worked hard to establish Vincent Court all those years ago to see it still going strong today, thanks to the loyal service of its staff and volunteers,” Fr James said.
“The genuine person-centred care delivered by staff is the real point of difference at Vincent Court.”
“The dignity of each person is upheld by staff so that the physical, mental, spiritual, pastoral and all aspects of care are provided to the highest standards.”
Facility Manager, Debbie Fletcher, commended the staff, who celebrated milestones ranging from 10 to 30 years, on their dedicated service to the residents of Vincent Court.
“Thank you for the dedication, care and love you have shown throughout your years of service – it is your loyalty and dedication that makes Vincent Court feel like home for our residents,” Ms Fletcher said.
