This federal government service is responsible for the delivery of mental health services for veteran and defence force communities and their families. You will be working within the Open Arms counselling program providing high quality clinical services. You will be joining a large team of passionate and highly professional staff, within a supportive working environment which provides clinical supervision, professional development opportunities, peer, and management support.
Your new role
In your new role you will be responsible for clinical counselling and case management as you assist individuals, couples, and families. You will facilitate the delivery of the counselling program to veterans, ADF personnel and their families. You will contribute to the development of the program and ensure you participate in ongoing learning for your own professional status. You will liaise with other government departments and welfare agencies to meet the needs of the veteran and defence force communities.
Key duties:
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have recent experience in a face-to-face counselling environment. You must have proven experience with trauma informed practice and the ability to manage your own case load.
