Your new company
“Where the Rainforest meets the Sea,” this Port Douglas restaurant is renowned for their prime location and fresh local produce. Overlooking the lagoon pool and waterfall, the venue offers a delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner to their guests and locals. Due to their rapid growth and extreme success in the restaurant, our client is looking for a casual Chef to join the team!

Your new role
Are you a self-motivated Chef who likes to work in various team environments? This is the job for you. You will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assisting and executing a high level of quality food.
  • Preparation and cooking of high quality of food including breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Section catering for site requirements
  • Menu planning
  • Waste management
  • Stock control and ordering of stock
  • Completing all relevant site inductions

Your attention to detail and enthusiasm will be key to assist in providing and exceptional service to clients and guests.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, it is desirable that you have previous experience working in a fast-paced environment and able to showcase several different meal styles. You will be flexible to work casually and have a sound understanding of Health and Safety protocols.
