Your new company
The JAC Group is a true leader in the Tasmanian market, renowned for innovation and excellence across their multi-sector business including property investment, land development, hospitality, tourism and their winery and vineyard operations. Josef Chromy is a Tasmanian icon and his story is one of hard work, determination and vision which are all traits that are at the heart of JAC Group’s operations. Due to their continued growth, they are currently looking for an experienced and passionate individual to join their Launceston based team as their new Company Accountant.

Your new role
Reporting to the Group Accountant and working closely with the operational managers, this varied and fast paced Accounting role will see you deal with the complex accounting processes for the Group’s diverse business interests. As part of a flexible and supportive team, you will be responsible for high and low level financial/management accounting tasks plus producing a wide variety of monthly, quarterly and annual reports which are essential to the Group’s commercial decision-making process. With supervisory responsibility for the Accounting support function, your attitude, love of accounting and commercial acumen will see you play a vital role in the engine room of this iconic Tasmanian organisation.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal applicant will be degree qualified and have strong experience working in either a commercial accounting role or in public practice. With excellent time management skills and the ability to successfully manage and prioritise multiple tasks, you will have a flexible approach and take pride in producing an exceptionally high standard of work. A team player with strong communication skills and attention to detail, you will have well developed commercial acumen and be able to identify improvement opportunities across the finance function. Experience working within the hospitality, construction, tourism or winery and vineyard sectors will be highly regarded.
