Cost Accountant

Your new company
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cost Accountant to join a passionate team in Ballarat. This organisation is looking at building its Ballarat network and ensuring that people within the community feel part of the journey they are on. You will be part of an exciting change period and ongoing development of team members and company.

Your new role
You will be responsible for partnering with a range of operational stakeholders, providing value adding commercial advice. Some of duties will involve:

• Produce accurate and timely monthly accounts and commentaries
• Analyse monthly results including variances against budget, forecasts and previous estimates.
• New and existing product, materials and labour costing
• Prepare the annual budget, produce quarterly re-forecast and provide commentary
• Process improvement projects for Operations
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and adequately supported
• Support capital project preparation
• Business partner with the wider operations arm

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:

• CA/CPA qualified
• Developed a strong commercial acumen
• Preferably experience in a large, diversified FMCG or Manufacturing environment
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Confidence to ask questions and find alternative methods in doing things
• Proacitve nature, adaptable to change and eager to challenge themselves.
• Stakeholder engagement experience.
