Description Work Days - Monday - Friday (occasional weekend work may be required) Hours - normal hours 7.00am - 3.30pm but may vary day to day depending on weather Pay Rate - $26 - $28 p/h Licences - Forklift, front end loader, skid steer, scissor lift, drivers licence Qualifications - Horticulture or equivalent experience in a similar role Location - Lower Light SA Established in 1998, SA Mushrooms is a proudly family owned, and operated mushroom grower based in Northern Adelaide Plains of South Australia. Reporting directly to the Compost Yard Supervisor you will be performing a variety of duties including operating front end loaders, dump trucks, skid steer and other heavy duty motorised equipment associated with moving material through the various stages of production. You will be required to perform safety checks and preventative maintenance on equipment such as loaders, forklift, conveyor belts, hoppers etc. including greasing, cleaning, refuelling and refilling various fluids. Part of your role includes monitoring material using sensors and probes and operating various systems to control fans to adjust temperature and improve air quality. This includes performing mathematical calculations and maintaining records related to the compost process. The applicant will need to be physically fit to meet the demands of the role and work environment.
