Finance Manager - Group Forecasting

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join our Strategic Capital, Planning & Portfolio team in Sydney.  

The Successful candidate will manage the Group planning and forecasting process, including coordinating and consolidating Business Unit forecasts into the Group forecast. Responsible for driving insightful management reporting, analysis and comprehensive supporting documentation for Group forecasting and planning deliverables.

*This is a fixed term role concluding in February 2023*

The Role

  • Drive the coordination and consolidation of Business Unit forecasts into Group forecast.
  • Drive the performance analysis versus developed budgets/plans/forecasts for Group functions, providing quality management insight into factors influencing performance and present recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Drive the development of the Group management reporting capability, to ensure they are fit for purpose and documented in an integrated conceptual framework and delivered via the Group's financial reporting systems (SAP).
  • Drive organisational effectiveness through proactive, continuous improvement and innovation with a particular focus on the optimisation of SAP (BPC) for forecasting.
  • Support the annual strategy review, through the financial assessment of strategic initiatives, identifying key risks and opportunities impacting performance.
  • Support the building of strong working relationships with key stakeholders to solve issues, leverage opportunities and influence Group performance.
  • Support team success by enhancing collaboration amongst team members and the Group; sharing ideas, knowledge and experience; and seeking to learn from other team members.

About You

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification/s is required
  • CA / CPA or equivalent post graduate qualification is required
  • Experience in planning and forecasting
  • Experience in management reporting and financial accounting
  • Experience in a role providing financial analysis to support decision making
  • Demonstrated time management skills and working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in creating productive networks
  • Experience using SAP (BPC) will be viewed favorably
  • Experience within Property and/or Funds management finance will be viewed favorably
  • Experience with report writing to Executive and Board level advantageous but not necessary
