We store and market wheat, barley, canola, sorghum and specialty commodities, connecting over 10,000 growers with more than 1,000 end-market customers across the food, beverage, edible oils and animal feed industries. About the role

GrainCorp is currently seeking a Head of Mergers and Acquisitions, based at our Sydney office, to lead and facilitate the development and delivery of business development opportunities for the organisation. The responsibilities of the role will include: 
 

• Identify, develop and support execution of business growth and acquisition opportunities
• Provide insight, support and strategic advice for M&A opportunities.  
• Project manage key M&A activity
• Manage key stakeholder engagements
• Prepare and present board papers 
   

About your experience

Candidates will have a successful track record in M&A in a corporate environment with advanced modelling and valuation skills. Candidates will also display:
 

• Autonomy to lead and run a deal from beginning to end
• Demonstrated skills to research and to access information
• Understanding of financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow Statements)
• Developing existing relationships and building new ones with key stakeholders
• Superior business case and report writing skills including board papers

In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a national police check, credit check, bankruptcy check.
