Job Summary

Our Infrastructure Advisory business is looking for a highly driven Infrastructure Advisor to join the Infrastructure Strategy & Economics team based in Melbourne. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the planning and delivery of high-profile infrastructure projects for a range of government and private sector clients. We are looking for an agile individual who loves problem solving, leading teams and who values excellent client and customer service across transport, infrastructure, and government sectors.

The team provides a range of services including business case development, financial and economic analysis, strategic advice, feasibility and pre-feasibility advice and infrastructure prioritisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying strong technical capability when assessing problems, benefits and costs to solve our clients’ problems in a dynamic and changing environment. You will be required to have a competency and interest in working with technical advisors to provide technically informed advisory consulting services as well as a passion for developing long term client relationships and winning work.

About the role:

  • Providing infrastructure advisory and consulting services to public and private clients.

  • Leading the development of business cases, asset decision frameworks and technical advisory services, collaboratively drawing in the other expertise of AECOM.

  • Strong technical proficiency in economic and financial modeling of infrastructure projects, particularly in the transport sector.

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with a wide range of clients and critical internal and external stakeholders.

  • Work as a member of multi-disciplinary teams, providing support to senior business leaders and leadership to junior staff.

  • Help leading and to grow a team focused on delivering high standards of service.

Minimum Requirements

About you:

  • Experience in infrastructure projects, such as transport, precincts, or for commonwealth government clients

  • A demonstrated ability to foster and strengthen relationships

  • Skills in interpreting, developing and analysing economic, financial and operational models and articulating results and recommendations

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to communicate complex concepts in a way that everyone understands

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in commerce/economics, finance, and/or engineering disciplines, or similar

  • You will have experience working within consulting, although government and other relevant sectors may be suitable.

This role may suit experienced individuals from a range of professional profiles, however professional consulting experience is preferred. Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in public and private interface is important. Sector attributes sought include strategic thinking, project scoping, commercial acumen and influencing.
