Junior Project Architect

Your new company
This is a Melbourne based architectural firm with projects throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria, Australia. My client's portfolio has a wide variety of projects of various scales including commercial, educational, health, and public buildings.

Your new role
We have various position within this firm. The role will encompass all aspects of concept design, documentation, contract administration, quality control, project management, and client negotiation and management.

• The Graduate Architect is required to work with Directors and staff to manage the design concepts that are developed for a project and protect and sustain them through the project stages until the project is finalised.
• The Senior Architect or Project Architect role will mentor younger staff to develop their practice and design skills. They will work with clients in the pre-design and design phase to generate designs.

What you'll need to succeed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
• Senior Architect, in addition will have an appropriate number of years of experience.
• Project Architect, in addition will be a Registered Architect.

General Skills & Experience Knowledge and awareness of:

• Architectural practice and theory;
• Design development, architectural design, documentation and detailing for a variety of projects;
• Computer aided drafting programs, preferably Revit and Autocad;
• Other office based computer applications;
• Processes to ensure the compliance of project quality systems;
• Architectural concepts, practices, procedures, final documents, specifications, materials and construction practices.

Senior Architect/Project Architect competencies:
