About our team

As the largest grain storage and handling network on the east coast of Australia, we operate more than 150 regional receival sites and seven bulk port terminals. We store and market wheat, barley, canola, sorghum and specialty commodities, connecting over 10,000 growers with more than 1,000 end-market customers across the food, beverage, edible oils and animal feed industries. About the role

GrainCorp is seeking a Port Planner, based at our Newcastle site, to manage product movements into port to ensure resources are assigned to handle port terminal inbound and outbound tasks. The responsibilities of the role will include: 

  • Coordinate management of vessel, rail and road movements into the terminal for all export and domestic customers
  • Accountable for CoR standards and compliance across NHVR requirements
  • Manage customer expectations and accumulations in concert with Operations and Customer & Commercial planning responsibilities
  • Ensure data accuracy and timeliness (including vessel movements, accumulation and stock at site data) to manage vessel lineups, Assigned Load Dates and Authority to Loads

About your experience

Candidates will have prior experience in a similar role in either agriculture or logistics with an understanding of Port operations plans. Candidates will also display:

  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Suite collaboration
  • experience in a supply chain in an operationally focused team
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Strong communication skills

Progressed candidates will be required to provide proof of working rights and suitable professional referees.
