Job Summary

AECOM’s market-leading Renewable Energy business in Australia is seeking to expand the

team in Sydney. We are looking for an experienced professional who has a passion for

technical excellence and who enjoys the challenge of delivering a diverse portfolio of

clean energy projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be actively involved in an innovative and highly motivated

team of energy professionals. AECOM’s Renewable, Generation & Advisory team is currently delivering a broad range of projects including solar and wind owner’s engineer, project management, design, feasibility assessments, energy advisory, and grid connection studies associated with future generation and storage projects.

As a Professional Engineer in the Renewable Energy team, you will collaborate to deliver

projects, develop proposals and deliver on client expectations.

You will ideally have consulting experience in the Renewable Energy industry working with

asset owners, developers, suppliers, or power utilities. The successful candidate will have

strong technical, communication, and time management skills and the desire to grow their

career at AECOM.

Minimum Requirements

You will have demonstrable qualifications and experience, including:

  • Project or engineering experience of power plant developments or industrial plants, such

  • as pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, concept or detailed designs, technical reviews, and specifications.

  • Wind and solar energy project experience is highly regarded.

  • Experience with other power generation technologies, e.g. energy storage, biofuels, or

  • hydrogen advantageous.

  • An understanding of the power project development process in Australia.

  • Knowledge of the major generation technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Renewable Energy, Electrical or Mechanical ideal)
