Senior Accountant

Our client is a mid-tier accounting firm offering business accounting and tax, bookkeeping, financial planning and personal insurance services to high net worth clients across a range of industries including medical, legal and real estate.

Your new role

Our client is seeking an experienced senior accountant to support the growing business. Reporting to the Business Services Manager, you will support the team in the running of day to day financial operations through ensuring functions such as tax compliance and budgeting are managed with due diligence.

Your duties will consist of:

• Preparing Financial statements including BAS, IAS, Div 7A and CGT
• Preparing Tax returns for Individuals, Companies, Partnerships and Trusts
• Liaising with external parties on behalf of the clients (ATO, ASIC, Financial advisors etc)
• Assist on projects (including research cases, income tax and GST rulings)

What you'll need to succeed

• CA/CPA qualified
• 4-6 years experience in a public practice accounting firm
• Proficiency with accounting software including MYOB AE/APS and Xero.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
