Senior Network Engineer / Network Engineer (NV2)

Skills and Knowledge required / Major Responsibilities:

Mandatory:

• Current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification in Enterprise or Data Centre, or an equivalent professional level vendor certification(s).
• Minimum 5+ years of network engineering experience for senior network engineer.
• Minimum 2-3+ years of network engineering experience for the network engineer.
• Knowledge and proven experience in the Design, build and implementation of network solutions.
• Ability to work in a multi-vendor environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Extensive Knowledge and experience in the following:

o            VLANs
o            Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN)
o            Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF)
o            IPsec VPNs (policy and route based)
o            OSPF/IS-IS/BGP
o            MLAG/vPC/SMLT
o            Firewall policy design and implementation
o            Underlay vs Overlay network concepts
o            Information Security Manual (ISM)
 
Desirable, Knowledge and/or experience with:

• Design, build, implementation or operation of Cisco ACI.
• VMWare NSX-T/VCF
• F5 Big-IP, Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco ASA/Firepower
• Automation and scripting (Python, Jinja2, Ansible, Puppet, JSON)

 
Location of work: Canberra ACT
Length of contract: 12 months
Security Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, we require current negative vetting level 2 clearance.
