No Kid Hungry chief executive Dave Davis said he has been happily overwhelmed with “literally tonnes of produce” donated and ready to be given away to any local NGO's, community groups, clubs and people who may be doing it tough.
People are encouraged to go and collect produce from the South Kempsey warehouse facility located at 18 Nance Rd South Kempsey.
"We have 20 tonnes of tomatoes, cabbages, sweet potatoes and washed potatoes and on Wednesday next week we are getting 34 tonnes of product from Queensland and we have 125 pallets of general food products to distribute through our program,” Mr Davis said.
Dave and his outreach coordinator Mel Struthers as well as the group’s volunteer team are looking forward to giving away as much as they can over the next 24 hours and even more mid week next week.
Anyone interested can contact Mel on 0414 591 482 or Dave on 0457 562276 to organise collection from the warehouse In South Kempsey.
