With the weather forecast to be splendid, it is all set to be a great day out for the thousands of people attending.

The Kempsey Cup’s race meeting is on at the Kempsey Race Track on Friday November 10. 

Entry is $15.

Horses will race for the grand prize of the Kempsey Cup and locals will flock to the stage for the highly anticipated Fashions of the Field.

For 130 years, Akubra has been making their famous fur felt hats and for the last 41 years, they have been proudly sponsoring the Kempsey Cup and this year is no exception.

Rock up in your best frock or a stylish suit for the annual Fashions on the Field events.

There are several categories to enter today for both men and women and even children.

Fillies of the Field is the category for the ladies who are aged 18-29 years old. Colt on the Course for the men who are aged under 30 years. 

Best Dressed Lady of Fashion is for ladies 30-50 and Best Dressed Male category is for the men over 30. There is also a Best Dressed Mature Lady category for those who are over 50.

For the snazzy little stylers, we have the Best Dressed Children’s category with a $20 gift voucher and a box of chocolates as the prize.

A massive prize pool from local businesses will be given away as part of the Fashion on the Field events today.
