Mr Hamilton has held various positions in Rugby League over the past 20 years, including work as Development Officer and Junior Representative Coach (NSW U18’s, Australian Junior Kangaroos) and High Performance, Development and Recruitment roles with the Canberra Raiders and Gold Coast Titans.
Country Rugby League CEO Terry Quinn believes Hamilton’s appointment will be an invaluable asset to the East Coast Region.
“We are very excited to appoint someone with the experience of Dave Hamilton to this position and believe he will be an important acquisition for Rugby League in the region,” said Quinn.
“Dave will be heavily focused on improving the administration and operations of clubs throughout the Region and will work closely with clubs and communities within the region to strengthen their engagement with the game.
“Dave will be primarily focused on the North Coast to begin with and will extend his reach as the year progresses.”
Hamilton, who recently worked with the Gold Coast Titans on their pathways and recruitment strategies, admitted he was looking forward to starting his new position.
“I’m really excited to begin working with Country Rugby League and getting out amongst the local communities of the North Coast,” said Hamilton.
“The North Coast is an area which has an abundance of Rugby League talent and I’m looking forward to working with the clubs and communities of the region to grow the game of Rugby League.”
