PHOENIX-like, the ProAg agricultural field days returned to Macksville at the weekend, for the first time since 2014.

But it was worth the wait, and the organisers are upbeat that the premier field days on the Mid North Coast will once again be a hardy and favoured annual.

While the hosts are still dissecting the numbers, it appears those exhibitors selling machinery were the strongest performers – with both sales on the Friday and the Saturday, plus the usual follow-up leads generated during ProAg.

There were good numbers through on both days of the event, and as well as all of the static displays there were rolling live demonstrations on everything from timber mills to reptiles and drones.

Many of the exhibitors expressed confidence in the direction of ProAg, and said ‘count us in’ for 2018.
