Rovers have had a stop-start season with rain and a bye preventing them from having games on a weekly basis.
The competition enters round six this Saturday and Rovers have three games under their belts.
They’ve also had a tough draw to start the year, with there three contests coming against sides sitting in the top four.
Despite missing three key batsmen in Ethan Dowling, Ellis Jeffrey and Jack Bennett, this Saturday’s match against Wingham is a game the winless Rovers can’t afford to lose.
“We need to get off the mark and build some momentum and confidence,” Powick said.
Meanwhile Nulla, who have only one win next to their names this season, will be entering the game against Taree West with a simple plan.
“We will just go out there and enjoy the cricket, not worry about the result while we are playing,” Nulla’s captain Ben Taylor said.
“We can’t afford any lapses and play hard in the contest from start to finish and we will give ourselves a shot at victory.”
Nulla will slot Bryce ‘Buckets’ Widdison back into the side as he returns from injury.
Nulla play at the neutral ground at Andrews Park while Rovers are also on the road at Laurieton Oval.
Games start at 1.30pm.
