Sam Drew, who returns to the club after a two-year coaching stint with the Macleay Valley Mustangs reserve grade side, will be a co-coach with Sam Howe.
Drew was involved in the Marlins premiership winning side in 2015.
Howe and Drew bring plenty of experience and Drew claims the two will work well together in restoring the club to its success.
“Sam and I will work well together, we will balance out each others strengths and weaknesses,” Drew said.
“We want to play some good footy next year, we left the club in 2015 and the on-field play has gone a bit backwards but hopefully we can return to being competitive next season.”
Drew decided to return to the Marlins to have more spare time for his kids.
Marlins president Geoff Ball said it was an obvious coaching selection.
“Howe and Drew’s application were standouts in the field of applicants with both men ticking all the boxes,” Ball said.
Joining Howe and Drew in the training staff is Shane Moran (fitness) Lazy Smith (Fao) and Joe Howe (league safe).
