Two Zen Chi Ryu Kempsey representatives recently earned their biggest achievements at their first international tournament, the North Island Championship New Zealand.

Chelsea Peet earned a second in traditional forms, third in point sparring and third in freestyle sparring (and she had to move up an age division).

Tristan Vogler achieved a first in extreme weapons, second in sword combat, third freestyle sparring and third in traditional forms.

Zen Chi Ryu Kempsey extended their congratulations and thanks to everyone for supporting the fundraising ventures to get everyone over there.

Zen Chi Ryu was in fine form on the mats and off the mats with officiating!

The Kempsey team showed the kiwi’s how it was done - in more ways than one.
