The atmosphere was sensational with excited local children making the most of the rides, games and activities, and the Kempsey Silver Band, Melville High Choir, Danae Cantwell Dance School and Crescent Head School Rock Band entertaining the crowd.
Fair coordinator Bec Hamilton declared the fair a huge success with people of all ages flocking from across the Macleay.
"More people turned up then we had envisaged," she said.
"Thank you to all those that helped organise, parents, teachers, sponsors and the community for supporting the event."
Mrs Hamilton said the final figure of the amount raised is yet to be calculated but it is hoped that number will approach $6000.
The money is expected to go towards new playground equipment for the school.
The Parents and Citizens Association would also like to thank the community, staff, parents and students for their overwhelming support in organising and attending the first Crescent Head Public School Spring Fair
They would like to acknowledge Bec Hamilton for her amazing organisational skills in pulling a fantastic team of people together to make the event happen.
