The sale comes after the closure of the Kempsey Toy Library in October due to a decline in the number of toy library items being borrowed. Marketing and Seniors Librarian, Mary Williams, said stock for sale on the day will include an assortment of games, blocks and playsets.
“All proceeds from the sale will be put back into children’s resources and programs. Items that don’t sell will be given to local children’s services identified as having a need,” she said.
“The former Toy Library space will be utilised to deliver more workshops and programs for children with an emphasis on literacy, science and technology.”
Please be advised that cash will only be accepted on the day of the toy sale.
