Club secretary Gary Lewis said a massive $8000 was raised and would go to the Stuarts Point School, preschool and 2018 Yarrahapinni Festival.
Along with the club’s annual bowls competition, an enthusiastic crowd also took part in a few creative games for the fundraiser – crab racing and mullet throwing made for entertaining additions to the day.
The local community came together for the charity auction and shave off to end the day of fundraising for small coastal town.
The auction was a great success, with thanks going to Brett and Monique Groundwater and their suppliers at the Stuarts Point Friendly Grocer, who donated the majority of the items up for grabs.
