At the conclusion of Saturday’s fixtures every team in the league will have played each other once and should have an understanding of the standards required to be successful in the newly-formed competition.
Nulla are expecting a tough encounter against a Macquarie side that has dominated oppositions thus far.
“It will be hard because they’re undefeated,” Nulla Captain Ben Taylor told the Argus.
“They are on top of the table and have been the benchmark so far.
“We back our bowling 100 per cent but we need to get the batting right to give ourselves a chance.”
Nulla have won three, lost three and drawn one so far to sit fourth on 27 points and Taylor says his men are determined to finish the opening round robin with a win to secure a four, three and one record from the first part of the season.
Rovers, who sit in seventh on 22 points, are also anticipating a hard-fought contest against a United side placed above them on the ladder.
Rovers’ skipper Danny Powick said he will again be looking for his less-experienced players to stand up.
Both 40 over one-dayers commence at 1.30pm. Good luck to all players.
