28 teams from all over the Mid North Coast converged on Kemsey Heights Bowling Club to take part in five games of bowls, with each consisting of 15 ends.
Fine weather conditions prevailed for much of the two-day tournament, although strong winds made play difficult on Saturday afternoon, challenging entrants who demonstrated impeccable skill and control in the circumstances.
A big thanks to the Howard family, the Burley family and Kempsey Heights for sponsoring the event. Prize money was awarded to the top eight teams.
Ultimately, it was the father and son combination of Cody and Andrew Griffin from Kempsey Heights who emerged victorious with 148 points.
Closely followed by Craig Howard and Terry Burley, also from the host club, with 146 points. Bill Ahoy and Garry Davis from Newcastle were third with 136 points.
Fourth: Don Forrest Kempsey Heights and Ben Everson Hat Head 135 points.
Fifth: Bruce Anderson Port City and Barry Smith Kempsey 124 points.
Sixth: Paul Holden and Rodger Gill Kempsey Heights 121 points.
Seventh: Paul Harrison and Andy Beasley 112 points.
Eighth: George Fisher and Tony Nolan 110 points.
