From December 12, locals are encouraged to visit the Macleay Community Art Gallery on Kinchela Street in Gladstone to marvel at the hundreds of paintings from local artists.
Speaking to the Argus, featuring artist Deb Marshall said visitors will be able to chat with the artists about their works.
“There will be almost 200 paintings to see and enjoy from the nine artists contributing towards the show. There will be works in oil, acrylic, mixed media, watercolour, and charcoal. There will be portraits, landscapes, dreamscapes, still life, abstracts and many more styles.
“We truly believe that in this particular exhibition there will be a painting for everyone, and for every purpose. Some will entertain, some will challenge the imaginations, and others will be meditative and peaceful.
“Come along and chat with the artists who will always be in the Gallery, they will answer questions or chat about their own aims and inspirations. All are welcome. We are open every day from 12 December to 1 January except for Xmas Day. Hours are 10am to 4pm.”
