For this edition of the Junior Team of the Week, the Argus met with the two Nulla Under 10s cricket sides.
The two teams are coached by veteran Steve Tarbox, who has been passing on cricket advice to Macleay athletes since 1990.
The juniors play in a non-competitive competition and all get a fair share of batting, bowling and fielding during their Saturday morning matches.
The Nulla teams have four girls in the team with Sophie, Teliyah, Abigail and Isla lining up for the side.
“All of the players have been developing their skills,” Tarbox said.
“However, aside from the cricket it’s good for their social skills. Players are from different schools and they get to meet each other.”
The junior cricket season came to an end last week.
To have the junior team from the Macleay that your son or daughter represents or the junior side you coach in the Macleay Argus, then simply submit the team’s information to callum.mcgregor@fairfaxmedia.com.au
Make sure you include the contact details of the coach or manager of the junior team in the email and if possible, an image of the side in their uniforms.
Every Macleay Valley junior sporting team is eligible for publicity.
Each week in the Tuesday Macleay Argus, a junior team from across the Macleay Valley will receive recognition for playing the sport they love.
