The Macleay Netball Association junior and senior representative teams headed to the Great Lakes Netball Association in Forster last Sunday, in what was for most of the teams their first rep carnival of the year.

The teams all had an early start and endured some serious heat throughout the day but managed to cope and play some great netball and give their coaches some insight in to what they need to work on to get ready for the state championships competitions they will all be competing coming up over the next 3 months.
The Macleay Association was represented at the carnival with 5 junior teams from 12 years through to 17 years and the Masters team representing in the senior divisions.
Over all the day was successful for all teams winning some of their games and also providing the coaches with some feedback on what areas they need to concentrate on at training.

These carnivals are a great way for the coaches to see how the teams are working together and what they need to work on to improve certain aspects of their games in readiness for the state competitions
A big thank you to the association umpires, Molly Keast, Ashley Swan, Zoe Beljaars, Dana Dyet and Rebecca Cotter that came along and gave up their Sunday and attend the carnival to umpire the teams.
The junior rep team’s next carnival will be held at the Nambucca Netball Association courts in Macksville on Sunday May 6. For the Masters team however the Great Lakes carnival was their last, they will now prepare with training session up until they head to the State championships at the Genea Netball Centre at Olympic Park in Sydney on May 19 and 20.
They Macleay Netball Association Saturday competition for the junior and senior teams will now break for the school holidays for the next two weeks. Competitions will re-commence on Saturday April 28.
